Earlier this week a forty-two year old woman was struck and killed on her way home from a local convenience store. Kimberly Regina Allen was walking home from a Kangaroo store when she stepped out into traffic on Statesville Boulevard near Lash Drive in Salisbury N.C. According to investigators, sixty-five year old David Bower did not see her as she began to cross the road and struck her with his vehicle. Allen was transported to a local hospital to be treated for her injuries and later died there. No criminal charges have been filed against Bower at this time.
