How to Obtain Your Camden Police Accident Report

One document you will want to have for your records is the Police Accident Report; a compilation of the Investigating Officer’s findings. This report is filed electronically and requires your participation to get a copy. There may be notations listing contributors to the accident, as well as a diagram or drawing visually defining the point of impact and any visible vehicle damages.

The Records Division of the Camden Police Department has provided us with the following details and points of contact to assist in the acquisition of your Police Accident Report. You will find specific instructions within the In Person and By Mail sections.

There is no fee charged to the victim of the accident, while a $5.00 fee is required from uninvolved parties. The clerk will need the accident location and date from you.

At the time of your request, parties other than the victim may be asked to fill out a Freedom of Information Act FOIA Request Form. There are instructions as well as a City of Camden FOIA form on the website, which you may complete, sign, and date; then fax or bring to the department in person. Uninvolved parties may only be allowed a redacted copy (at the discretion of the Records Officer).
