How to Obtain Your Dillon Police Accident Report

The Dillon Police Department Records Unit in South Carolina has provided us with the following details and points of contact to assist in the acquisition of your Police Accident Report. You will find specific instructions within each method-of-access section.

There is a $5.00 fee for all parties, whether or not they were involved in the accident. This may be paid in cash, money order, no personal checks although printed business checks are accepted. Your report may be obtained in person, emailed to you, or sent to your mailing address.  

Uninvolved parties may be asked to provide a Freedom of Information Act FOIA Request Form. This form will be available at the Records Unit, or you may download an FOIA from the SC DPS and include it with your mailed request. Note: uninvolved parties may only be allowed a redacted copy (at the discretion of the Records Officer).

Alternatively, if your traffic accident took place on the Interstate, you will need to download and mail in this Request for Officer’s Report (SCDMV Form FR-50) from the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles. Fill out the form as completely as possible and sign. Send 2 copies along with a check or money order payable to SCDMV for $6.00, to the address below:
