How to Obtain Your Hanahan Police Accident Report

When you have been involved in a Hanahan traffic accident, the document critical to a personal injury case is going to be your Police Accident Report. It will have notes from the investigating officer, and information about the parties who may have contributed to the accident. There is often an outline of a vehicle — allowing the officer to indicate damages — and an intersection sketch so they can show the point of collision.

You may contact the Hanahan Police Department Records Division during business hours for questions or information. Police Accident Reports may be obtained per instructions under the sections In Person, or By Mail. There is a $5.00 fee for all parties per copy, which may be acquired

Non-involved persons must provide a Freedom of Information Act FOIA Request), and may only be allowed a redacted copy (at the discretion of the Records Officer). General informative content about FOIA is available at the U. S. Homeland Security Site.
