How to Obtain Your Laurens Police Accident Report 

The Police Accident Report is a compilation of the Investigating Officer’s findings. This report is filed electronically and requires your participation to get a copy. There are generally notations listing contributors to the crash, as well as a diagram or drawing which visually defines the point of impact and visible vehicle damages.

The Records Division of the Laurens Police Department has provided us with the following details and points of contact to assist in the acquisition of your Police Accident Report. You will find specific instructions for making your request within the In Person and By Mail sections. 

It may take up to 15 days for to process the report, which may be emailed, sent by mail, or picked up in person (your preference). A fee of $5.00 is charged for all uninvolved parties, and that copy will be redacted.  

At the time of your request, you will be asked to complete a Freedom of Information Act FOIA Request Form, which is available at the station or downloadable at U. S. Homeland Security.

By Mail

Letters of request for a Police Accident Report are accepted by mail. You must enclose your full name and description of the event, a $5.00 money order, a copy of your ID, date of the accident, case #, location of the collision, as well as a completed FOIA form which can be downloaded.

For traffic accidents on the Interstate, you may download and mail in this Request for Officer’s Report (SCDMV Form FR-50) from the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles. Fill out the form as completely as possible and sign. Send 2 copies along with a check or money order payable to SCDMV for $6.00, to the address below:
