SUV Collides with Dump Truck

download (18)One person has been injured after an accident involving an SUV and a dump truck.

According to officials, the crash happened on Saturday afternoon when a woman driving a Nissan Pathfinder collided with a dump truck near Sledge and Shopton Roads in Charlotte. The collision caused the SUV to roll over.

In the backseat of the vehicle was a 5-year-old girl who suffered only minor injuries. The girls’ mother, however, suffered potentially life-threatening injuries in the accident.

It’s very fortunate that this little girl received only a scratch in this accident. The outcome of this collision could have been far worse. It’s important that children be properly restrained when riding in a motor vehicle and can help prevent serious injuries of children in the case of an accident.

Rollover accidents can be terrifying and serious injuries and even death can result when a vehicle rolls over and they can be some of the most severe accidents on the road. Even though many rollover crashes involve SUV or other large vehicles, any vehicle can roll in an accident. When a vehicle rolls over, there is no control of that vehicle and serious injuries or even death can result.

Picking up the pieces in the aftermath of a rollover crash can be both physically stressful and expensive. Medical costs, time off of the job, physical and rehabilitative care and therapy as well as property damage can be overwhelming.
