A tragic accident left one motorcycle rider dead in Greenville, SC, on Saturday, April 17.
Officials say the crash occurred just before 2 AM, on Augusta Road at East Fairfield Road. Daniel Moses, 59, was riding on Augusta Road when a 2002 Honda Accord sedan traveling on East Fairfield Rd attempted to turn onto Augusta. The motorcycle then crashed into the turning sedan.
Sadly, Moses was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
Unfortunately, this is a common way for motorcycle crashes to happen. Because of their small size, bikes are often hard to see, especially at night. Drivers who turn in front of motorcycles frequently report that they just didn’t see the bike. For this reason, motorists are encouraged to always “look twice and save a life.”
