How to Obtain Your Fountain Inn Police Accident Report

One key piece of evidence you will want to acquire is your Police Accident Report; a compilation of the Investigating Officer’s findings at the scene. This report will be filed electronically and requires your participation to obtain a copy. It will most likely include notations listing contributors to the accident. A diagram or drawing may also be included, to define the location point of impact and visible vehicle damages.

The Records Division of the Fountain Inn Police Department has provided us with the following information and points of contact to assist in the acquisition of your Police Accident Report. Preferred methods for obtaining the report are included in the In-Person and By Mail sections below. A $5.00 fee may be charged at the discretion of the Records Clerk.

Uninvolved parties may be asked to provide a Freedom of Information Act FOIA Request Form. These are available at the station or can be downloaded from their city website. Uninvolved parties may only be allowed a redacted copy (at the discretion of the Records Officer).
