Two People Die in Leesville, SC After Head-On Accident

A head-on accident in Leesville, SC left a Gilbert resident and an Elgin resident died on Thursday, January 7.

Authorities say the crash happened on Thursday evening. Marty Ray Harmon, 55, was driving northbound on Augusta Highway when a southbound vehicle crossed the centerline, striking Harmon’s vehicle. The southbound vehicle was driven by Donna Tuttle, 71, of Elgin. Sadly, both drivers died at the scene.

Unfortunately, head-on collisions can lead to serious injury or death. There are many possible reasons they happen. Common causes include speeding, distracted driving, impaired driving, and failing to obey traffic signs or signals.
