A wrong-way crash on Interstate 26 in South Carolina sadly led to the death of one driver and injuries to two others on Saturday, October 10.

A Saturday morning crash on US 321 left one motorcyclist dead and another injured on October 10.

Authorities say the accident happened around 11:30 AM near the juncture with S.C. 34. A four-door Nissan made a left turn into the path of two motorcycles on US 321 while trying to exit a recycling center. The first biker, Paul Bryan Simmons II, 26, crashed into the Nissan. A police chase ended in tragedy on Wednesday, July 7, after a driver running from the Sheriff’s Office caused a three-vehicle accident.

Officials say the Florence Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Division and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) were working together when they tried to stop a vehicle. A Friday evening bike ride turned deadly for a man in Spartanburg, SC, after a hit-and-run crash on October 3.

Authorities say Dalton Lee Taylor, 27, was riding his Moped on SC 11 near Harvey Gosnell Road, a little after 11 PM.
