Construction Worker Injured in Platform Fall

A construction worker is battling life-threatening injuries after an accident on the work site. Early Thursday morning a man who was working on the apartment complex being built on Barclay Downs Drive and Morrison Boulevard fell approximately twenty feet and landed on a raised platform. Emergency crews were forced to use one of the construction company’s cranes to get to the injured worker. While details about the injured man’s condition have not been released, EMS personnel indicated that the injuries the man suffered were life threatening.
